About Betaab Valley

Betaab Valley, originally known as Hagan Valley, was renamed after the 1983 Bollywood blockbuster 'Betaab' starring Sunny Deol and Amrita Singh, which was extensively filmed here. Located 15 km from Pahalgam along the Lidder river, this valley is a masterpiece of nature — dense deodar and pine forests, crystal-clear streams, flower-studded meadows, and snow-dusted peaks create a landscape that seems almost surreal.

The valley sits at the confluence of the Sheshnag and Lidder streams, creating a wide, green expanse that has become one of Kashmir's most photographed locations. The J&K Tourism Development Authority has developed it as a well-maintained picnic spot with walking paths, bridges, and viewpoints. Despite its Bollywood fame, Betaab Valley retains an unspoiled quality that makes every visitor feel they've discovered something secret and magical.
